This gem is tucked away just off of the harbour area. The inside is cozy and comfy, the drinks are reasonably priced and they usually have the game on. The best bit is the outside terrace right on the water.

This is my favourite club. V eclectic mix of music, laid back atmosphere and usually easy to get served. It's also the best gig venue in town so has a great sound system and acoustics.

Supposed to be good, but have never been since it became Cabaret Voltaire. I know the venue itself is awesome because it was my cousin's before he sold it. They sand blasted old caverns under the street to make the venue when I was a kid.

The entrance looks like a barbers - you go downstairs and through a door hidden in the bookshelves. Great decor and drinks.

Only 10/15 minutes on the train from Haymarket or 30 minutes by bus, this littile village sits right on the water between the Forth Road Bridge & the Forth Rail Bridge, making the views spectacular. A great place to enjoy them from in the Boathouse where great food is served in the bar area in front of floor to ceiling glass windows looking directly over the river and bridges. It also has direct access to the beach. There are lots of lovely little shops, cafes and restaurants & the Maid of the Forth tours leave from the harbour here.

It's has become a bit hipsterish, but it's home to some great bars and restaurants (my favourite is Hamiltons), boutique shops, charity shops with some real gems, cafes and Inverkeith Park (lovely for a picnic on a nice day). There is also a great farmers market with various local products (including soaps etc) and lots of great food and coffee vendors.

The inside of the house is neo-gothic and you sit beside 10ft windows watching peacocks run around the grounds. Very luxurious with fantastic food (Scottish with good meat dishes and usually some pasta/risotto options etc). Really good wine list. Also good for a romantic lunch, and they do a really good set menu. Requires a reservation. Ask for a table by the window.

The food is excellent and reasonably priced for the quality. As the name suggests, it has an excellent wine etc list. It has great service and a romantic and cosy atmosphere. I recently took a friend of mine who was a chef in top end restaurants in Melbourne and he raved about the food.

Does a great breakfast/brunch. Good food all day (with a good range of options), good drinks, good service, good prices. Also the street it's on has lots of lovely cafes, shops etc and is just up from the Meadows, which is worth a visit on a nice day.
