With free music entertainment every Friday and Saturday night at our local upmarket beach pub with a mix of DJ's, bands and acoustic artists. It also has a gated indoor playground area for the children, so it is as much fun for the children as it is for the adults. This is located at the end of the strip of restaurants and shops at Salt Village on the north side of the Mantra building.

Parks & Nature
You will see Mount Warning from everywhere from Byron Bay to the Gold Coast. My Grandmother always said it was my Grandfather lying down and it was the profile of his face. It is so majestic though. Be the first in Australia to see the sunrise from the top of Mt Warning. The 8.8 km, five hour return walk through the rainforest, culminates in breathtaking 360 degree views around the ancient caldera with coastal views stretching from The Gold Coast to Byron Bay. It is a moderate to difficult walk and please exercise caution and education to the trip as there are many rescues due to accidents on the trails. If you are up to it though it will be an experience to treasure your whole life.

Mount Warning National Park
Mount Warning RoadYou will see Mount Warning from everywhere from Byron Bay to the Gold Coast. My Grandmother always said it was my Grandfather lying down and it was the profile of his face. Both Currumbin Rock Pools and Cougal Cascades is a must see if you love nature and getting away from the hype of the Gold Coast. Cougal Cascades is only another 5 minutes drive on from the Currumbin Rock Pools and well worth it! It is an easy walk, very informative and beautiful with it not being a popular tourist attraction and I have no idea why it isn't - as I rate it as a must do! Probably a 45 minute drive. It does still get quite busy on weekends and holidays. Again it is totally free! Take a picnic lunch or there are little cafes you can stop at along the way. No phone or data reception.

Currumbin Rock Pools
Currumbin Creek RoadBoth Currumbin Rock Pools and Cougal Cascades is a must see if you love nature and getting away from the hype of the Gold Coast. Cougal Cascades is only another 5 minutes drive on from the Currumbin Rock Pools and well worth it! It is an easy walk, very informative and beautiful with it not being a popular tourist attraction and I have no idea why it isn't - as I rate it as a must do! Probably a 45 minute drive. The architecture of the building, the exhibits that are always changing, the scenery, coffee shop and vibe is second to none... And it's free entry!

Food Scene
The town of Kingscliff is a quaint little town fronting the ocean with a lovely park, surf club and entrance to Cudgen Creek. It has quirky little boutique shops and is a food lovers paradise, where you will be spoilt for choice. Everything from the Surf Club and bowling club, both being on the beach and the Kingscliff Beach Hotel is a modern hotel opposite the beach and has great food and live entertainment. It also has an indoor play room for the children.

A couple of minutes walk through the Hotel foyer and you are there. Larger grocery stores are located either with a Coles and other shops at Casuarina less than 3km south or Kingscliff Woolworths and shopping centre a few km's North of Mantra.

Getting Around
You can hire a good range of bikes from the Mantra reception area to explore the many kilometres of Bike trails both south through to Casuarina and Cabarita or North to Kingscliff. All the trails are adjacent to the beach, often under trees to offer some protection from the sun.

Entertainment & Activities
Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary is the closest of the parks and is a great day out for the family. It is only 20 minutes away by car. All the other theme parks like Wet and Wild, Dreamworld, Movieworld, Seaworld and Outback spectacular are less than an hour's drive away.
