Parks & Nature

An easy 2.5km ravine walk from this point takes you along the Etobicoke Creek to Lake Ontario (5km return). You will pass through a beautiful forest and if you take some of the small paths to the river you will find many examples of fossils along the riverbed. When you reach the end of the trail you will find Marie Curtis Park which has a bathroom block, a few picnic tables and free parking as well. This park spans the creek where the Waterfront Trail takes you over a small footbridge. Walk along the shore of Lake Ontario or wander inside the small, secluded forest walking trails. Head east over to Lakeshore Blvd West and you will find a number of eating and drinking venues (approx. 5 mins from Marie Curtis Park). If you would rather do a shorter walk (2 km total) and loop back to the carpark through the local neighbourhood, veer left and go up the path about 1km along the walking trail towards Horner Avenue. Head north along Westhead Rd for approx 1km until you reach the carpark. To reach the Park Entrance and Parking Lot (beginning of the trail) 1. Head north on Delma Dr toward Stephney Dr 2. Turn left onto Stephney Dr 3. Turn right onto Norfolk Ave 4. Norfolk Ave turns left and becomes Thames Ave 5. Turn right onto Westhead Rd 6. Turn left 7. Arrive at location: Etobicoke Valley Park Baseball Diamonds and descend to the ravine. There is a long, black metal staircase or alternatively you can use the path on the right that circles down. 8. Follow the asphalt path veering left (southward)
