Burek is a kind of pie stuffed with cottage cheese or minced meat, eaten with hands. If you want to experience an authentic night out this place has to be on the list. Try it with yogurt on the side, that’s how Jaka likes it.

This is the kind of bar where quantity outweighs quality. Big groups of students from all over party with too many shots of ''Borovničke'' on the counter, so this becomes a loud and energetic place narrated by all your favourite radio hits of the century on the turntable. It's good fun basically.

Local musicians, painters and sculptors play around there so it can be a really special place. It is also the only spot with a LGBT dedicated club in Ljubljana.

Local musicians, painters and sculptors play around there so it can be a really special place. It is also the only spot with a LGBT dedicated club in Ljubljana.
If you like Craft beer then try this bar located a bit out of the city centre by the name of Lajbah. Great choice of craft beers on the tab. The same owner also owns a store on Trubarjeva street called "Že v redu Primož" or "Beer shop pr’Primožu". They definitely have the biggest selection of craft beers around. That said, almost any bar down by the river serves some type of a local craft beer :)

Landmarks
take a walk from the apartment following the river to Gornji trg and you will enjoy the most picturesque parts of the centre. Beautiful old city houses and great restaurants are scattered all along the way (although watch out for some tourist traps).
The centre's siamese twin is a must on a nice sunny day. Take a blanket and a bottle of wine and lounge on Tivoli's green meadows. If you feel a bit more energetic take a run in the forest behind the meadows. If you are lucky you can find a house where Slovenia's most famous novelist resided. Now they serve great tea and pretzels there.

Drink tap water
Tap water is great in Slovenia, coming directly from the mountains in the north, so don't bother buying bottled water, as it's mostly the same as tap water.

Airport transport
There are three ways to get to and from the airport:
1. the most convenient way to get to the apartment from the airport is to take a shuttle bus company called GoOpti. Their vans are parked outside the terminal. It costs about 10€ per person and takes about 30 minutes. They will even drop you off directly at the apartment if you give them the address. You can choose their service for your way back as well but this time you need to make a reservation on their website: www.goopti.com,
2. the fastest way is to take a taxi. They cost around 25€ and take about 25 minutes. A good option is Taxi where you can pay with cash or credit card. Their phone number is: 00386 31 492 299,
3. the cheapest way is to take a bus. They cost about 5€ per person and take about 1 hour 15 minutes to 1 hour and 30 minutes and drop you off at the central bus station, which is within walking distance to the apartment.

Taxis are a really convenient and affordable way to get around in Ljubljana, especially if you travel in pairs. A good option is City Taxi where you can pay with cash or credit card. Their phone number is: 00386 31 492 299

Car rental
The cheapest car rental service that we know of is called Renty (www.renty.si). They are located a bit out of the city centre, but make up for it with their offer of cars that cost only 20 - 30€ per day and a low deposit, somewhere between 200 - 300€.

Luggage drop-off
If you need to store your luggage outside your stay time, then the best option would be a luggage storing service at the central bus station. Their prices are:
