this little hamlet is sweet and charming, just 20 minutes drive from the cabin, find specialty food shops, vintage thrift store and a great restaurant that has live music on their large patio. a few cafes and brunch spots too!

swimming! and a boat launch. the swimming area is just across the road from the boat launch and its STUNNING. Its not a beach, but the large rock landing is better than sand.

a tough place to find and get into, but for the adventurer, this is well worth the hunt. the lake is limestone bottom and is surrounded by crown land riddled with cedar and spruce trees. If you have a van or truck you could drive in from spruce lake trail, but park at the top if you don't have a van.
