Killer donuts sold here! This is one of our #1 recos. Always a line up, and that's for a reason. The donuts are intense and soooo good. Well worth the drive to Deep Cove. Get your donuts then walk down to the water and take in the view. On your way back (after licking your fingers), stop in at Room 6 and other neat shops on the Deep Cove strip. If it's a warmer and sunny day rent a kayak to work that donut off! ;)

It's in a semi-industrial area but if you don't want to sit in get take out, and head to the seawall just near Spa Utopia (on our map), and sit & look over the water to downtown. Shared seating on long tables - no need to make a reservation but you may stand in line for 5-10 mins if you are there at lunch time as it's very popular with locals from the businesses in the area. We reco the chicken mole, fish tacos and the frijoles tacos. Cold "Horchata" is delish too if you like milky drinks.

Parks & Nature
This is a regular activity for us, rain or shine. It's a beautiful walk along the ocean, and sometimes you are treated to sightings of herons, eagles, sea otters and ocean birds. You can walk all the way from Ambleside to Dundarave. Also good for running. No wheels allowed though (bikes, roller blades etc) Strollers and wheelchairs OK. Lots of coffee shops nearby. Crema is pretty good for a caffeine fix.

821 21st StThis is a regular activity for us, rain or shine. It's a beautiful walk along the ocean, and sometimes you are treated to sightings of herons, eagles, sea otters and ocean birds. You can walk all the way from Ambleside to Dundarave. Also good for running. No wheels allowed though (bikes, roller blades etc) Strollers and wheelchairs OK. Lots of coffee shops nearby. Crema is pretty good for a caffeine fix.

Some are in the mall and then there is a Whole Foods and other stores & restaurants in an outdoor strip just west of the mall. Some high end shops, and lots of the usual chain stores too. If you cross Marine Drive to the North side there are less options but you can find The Gap, Banana Republic and The Bay there.
