Our favorites are the Funky Monkey and Miss Shortcake. They have expanded their menu to include such things as donut sandwiches and donut burgers.

This chain bbq restaurant is very close to our home. It is our favorite bbq restaurant to go to for their extra moist brisket and yummy cream corn. If it is your first time there, make sure to tell them! They give you free samples of all their meat. Their banana pudding is great for dessert.

This is the number one bbq restaurant in Texas, arguably the country. People will drive hours or from out of state to get in line. . People will wait hours in line to get a taste so make sure you are willing to do so during their busy days, especially on weekends. They are open until they sell out of meat, which is usually around 1pm on the weekends. Best time to go is during the weekdays and/or when it is raining. No joke. It is part of the experience but you will not be disappointed when you get a taste of their bbq.

People will wait hours in line to get a taste so make sure you are willing to do so during their busy days, especially on weekends. They are open until they sell out of meat, which is usually around 1pm on the weekends. Best time to go is during the weekdays and/or when it is raining. No joke. It is part of the experience but you will not be disappointed when you get a taste of their bbq.

This movie theater is only a 10 min drive from our home. The food is actually really good so you can enjoy a dinner and show! It's hidden away off of 620. Comfortable recliner seats and you can call a server with a push of a button!

If you want something more chill than 6th street, go to Rainey street instead! These houses were converted into bars and they ahve live music and good food. We love to go to Banger's and enjoy the show, sausages, and beer.

Go to any Bucee's location in Texas and you will not be disappointed with any of these giant gas station stops. It may sound weird to stop at a gas station, but this is an exception. They have giant, clean bathrooms, meat stations, snacks, souvenirs, fudge stations, fresh jerkey, drinks, dippin dots, etc. Definitely worth stopping by if you're on a roadtrip.
