Food scene

Some of the most delicious food in the city is made in these containers. A varied set of stalls offering every cuisine you can think of. The walk down is beautiful too around the historic harbour side with lots of places to stop and soak up the sun with a drink along the way. This is also where you will find the M-shed one of Bristols best museums displaying the cities history through time.

Clifton Village is full of mostly independent shops, cafes and restaurants. Take the steps which are found a few doors down the road from the house up into the village and explore. The best coffee is at foliage cafe on regents street - they also do some delicious breakfasts and the croque foliage and the pancakes are particular favourites. They also modify most dishes for vegans. Clifton is full of options for plant based diets with East Village Cafe being entirely vegan and most places having a good few options to choose from. There are some particularly good vegan pastries at the can’t dance coffee cart the other side of Victoria square but you have to get there early to nap an almond one as they are popular with all and go fast! Primrose cafe is a an icon in the village and so delicious food all day and night. There are a number of Japanese options, Thai and Indian (nutmeg is one of the best Indians in the city). You’ll also find some cozy pubs such as the Albion and Somerset tavern and wine bars such as the quadrant and the imaginatively named wine bar. Dirty bird is great for cocktails if you want something special.

Sightseeing

Walk up to the village and past the shops to find the famous suspension bridge. There are some like walks which can be started from the bridge as you can access the clifton downs here, or if you go over the bridge you can get to Ashton court grounds.
