東京の西側を高見の見物ができるほか、多摩動物園に行くことが出来ます。
主要駅はJR立川駅、高幡不動駅、多摩センター駅。JR新宿駅へ乗り継ぐことが出来ます。

関係者でないと基地内には入れませんが年に2日8月にフレンドシップデーが行われ、中に入ることができます。
