Sunscreen and Shade are Your Friends
Even during the winter season, the sun in Tucson is fierce. Bring a hat and plenty of your favorite sunscreen, and prepare to refresh every few hours while you are outdoors. People who are particularly sensitive may wish to carry an umbrella or sun parasol. Savor the sunshine, but respect it as well.

The Pleasures of Tucson's Monsoon Season
Monsoon season only sounds unpleasant. The reality is much different. Just before a monsoon rain the air is light, caressing your skin and the skies turn purple. The evenings are mild, the cacti bloom, and the mountainsides turn green. There are no day long drizzles - just glorious cloudbursts for a few hours, then the air grows bright and and clean. It truly is our favorite time of year. If you find yourself here in late August or September, after a particularly wet monsoon season, you will want to pack insect repellant and make sure the screens are closed.

Tucson is a very chill town. Even at the most expensive restaurant a nice pair of shorts and a polo shirt is sufficient. For going out shopping or a night on the town, you don’t need a tie or heels to fit right in. In Tucson, comfort is King.
