This is a recently remodeled park, like most of the springs in the area, the water is very cold, but on a hot summer day, you really couldn't ask for more. The park is well maintained with pavilions and a set of stairs to walk into the spring.

Just a few minutes from the lakehouse, this canoe and Kayak rental will get you several hours on the Econfina. Be sure to stop off at all the spring locations on the creek and don't just charge on through to the end. You will make memories that last a lifetime on this beautiful canoe trail.
Some notes when renting here - it's cash only, an ID for each vessel rented, and you must have a reservation.

Holmes Creek Canoe Livery is a great way to visit because they drive you to the beginning of your trip and you end at the water park and your car. The 3-hour tour (don't worry, you won't get stranded on any desert islands here) is just enough to get you across St. Andrews Bay and into the peace and solitude of Shell Island. This is a favorite field trip destination of local schools for many decades (My first field trip there was in 1986).

So in case you forgot any of your basic necessities, this is the closest Walmart in the area. Its actually one of the largest I've ever seen.
