Great sushi and great service. A great spot for dates. If you sit at the bar, they'll often give you free things, from salad to sushi rolls to deep fried Oreos!

This place is a well-kept secret. It's a tiny hole in the wall in a shopping center, but they make some really awesome African cuisine. It's cheap, delicious, and it will fill you up.

This Mexican restaurant used to be Athens' best kept secret. Now it can be hard to get a table at times. The food is fresh, authentic, and inexpensive. Wait staff is outstandingly friendly. There are other Mexican places closer to us, but we drive across town for this one.

I work with a bunch of Chinese people at my job. When I asked them what their favorite place to eat is, they were all in agreement that it was here, so I decided to give it a try.
It's an interesting American-Chinese hybrid restaurant. Not in that they serve American dishes with a Chinese twist or vise versa....there are Chinese dishes on the menu right alongside traditional American hamburgers. They play country music, and have a weird little country-ish giftshop when you walk in.
That said, the Chinese food is outstanding. I've not had anything that wasn't great since I've been there. The pot stickers are awesome and the General Tso's is the best I've had out of any Chinese place. I'd give this one a try.

It's a hole in the wall. It's also probably not the best BBQ in the south or anything like that. But it IS open until 3AM and beats the pants off of every other late night food option. If I were downtown at 2AM, I'd give this place a shot.

They've got a zoo, walking trails, a dog park, a little duck pond, pavilions with grills, a public pool, and basketball courts. It can get a little crowded when the weather is nice, but it's overall a very nice place to relax in the shade.
