The ferry is the best way to DI, then it's all golf carts!

Access to Daufuskie Island is exclusively by boat. Most take the ferry contracted through Beaufort County. More info about that here: https://www.daufuskieislandferry.com/ - there is a ton of good information about Daufuskie Island on that site. Once you arrive, you’ll need a way to get around, which is most often accomplished with a golf cart. Here are a few that will meet you at the ferry landing: Mongeon Carts - 912-844-0222 Tour Daufuskie Carts - 843-842-9449 Daufuskie Carts - 843-341-2327 Island Carts - 843-505-3937

Top Tips for Island Travel

1. Pack sparingly – The island lifestyle is VERY casual. The dress of the island is casual – bring comfortable stuff for relaxing. 2. If you are staying for a few nights, consider buying your groceries on your way to the boat or use a grocery shopping service to deliver your groceries to the dock in time for your arrival. There are not a lot of breakfast options on Daufuskie Island, so plan for that. 3. Bring a camera, a pair of tennis shoes or flip flops – and maybe a bicycle, binoculars and/or a good book.
