The fastest way to get around London is the tube...
Although the tube is the fastest way to get around London I prefer sitting on top of a double deck bus as I would have a chance to see places as well as having a sense of which direction I am going. Even better are bicycles for those who like to cycle. You can rent them especially in central London where you can also rent e-bicycles and e-scooters.
