Weskus Kombuis combines local cuisine, burgers, pizzas, seafood and meat to cater for all tastes. This is an affordable restaurant and have a cozy little bar and deck overlooking the harbour. Well worth a visit at least once. Need to book for dinner as the kitchen closes at 21h00 and no additional orders will be taken. Contact no. +27 27 432 1774.

98 Voortrekker StWeskus Kombuis combines local cuisine, burgers, pizzas, seafood and meat to cater for all tastes. This is an affordable restaurant and have a cozy little bar and deck overlooking the harbour. Well worth a visit at least once. Fryers Cove produces good quality wines from vines that grow close to the sea. Their wines are highly rated and are popular amongst South African wine lovers. They have a wine tasting venue and restaurant on pier of the old harbour of the quaint little fishing town of Doringbaai, about 30 minutes drive from the camp and 45 minutes drive from Lamberts Bay.
This is a real gem to visit for a day out and enjoy the views and fresh breeze of the Atlantic, while sipping on good quality white- or red wine...or a their Kastaing Crafted Beer...with a delicious seafood platter.
Booking is essential for Lunch.

This is a very quirky pub with lots of surfing memorabilia and art from the local owner and other artists from the area. Here is live music and something to bite...try their pizzas or even bring your own meat and lit a fire at his fire place and do your own barbeque or braai. Drinks are reasonable priced and there is always a good vibe at this place...even the odd dance. Very cool place...just outside Lamberts Bay ...about 5kms drive. Also popular for weddings.

This unique and well reserved- and renovated old farm is must to visit. It is situated next to the "Verloren Vlei" , which is a bird watchers paradise. The Verloren Vlei is an estuary and enjoys the protection as a RAMZAR site. Here you will have the opportunity explore the old architecture and awesome scenery of an era gone by....how the pioneers of the Sandveld lived in harmony with nature. There is a very nice old pub and restaurant on the premises. There is a farm stall that sell various fresh produce and gifts.
Take a walk to the bird hide and have a look at the estuary and the birds.
Vensterklip is just outside Elands Bay...the Surf Mecca of the West Coast.

This Bird Island is one of a few on the South African Coast that serves as a breeding colony for the Cape Gannet.
This island is the ONLY one, that can be reach by foot..i.e. walking along the break water wall to the island. There is an interesting story about the island and the birds. You will meet guides from Cape Nature that will take you through the history of the island and tell you about the birds and other fauna on the island.
There is a small conservation fee to be paid that will go towards Cape Nature that administer the island and the bird colonies.
The entrance to the island is just opposite Isabellas Coffee Shop and Restaurant.

This farm is still in the hands of one of the pioneer families of this area....with the surname of Burger. This farms offers a small museum with information of the English Battle Ship, "Sybille" that ran on the rocks here during the Anglo-Boer war.
They have a restaurant by the name of "Die Plaas Kombuis" or direct translated to English...The Farm Kitchen...and they cook the most delicious home meals on a Dover Stove. Here you can indulge in local "Boere" meals....tasty, local and fresh...to die for. Go hungry!
There is a unique cave on the farm which boast some ancient San rock Art. You can visit this cave and rock paintings, by appointment.They also have a well known surf spot on the farm
