Cliff Walk is basically a trail overseeing the Sea and a lot of Newport attractions. The walk runs 3.5 miles and about two-thirds of the walk is in easy walking condition. What makes Cliff Walk unique is that it is a National Recreation Trail in a National Historic District. You'll see Forty Steps, Salve Regina University, The Breakers, maybe surfers while doing your morning walk in here. Perfect place for pictures. The view is breathtaking.

King Park is my favorite place to bring the kids to kayak and paddle board, parking is free, beautiful view from the sea and the Pell Bridge. Near Thames, so you can grab something to eat quick. There are public restrooms available. Sometimes you may find a concert or even a proposal happening there.

Ocean Drive is a 10 mile scenic drive (or you can bike, walk..) Start your journey just off historic Bellevue Avenue and continue along with heart-stopping views.

Bowen’s and Bannister’s wharves are where you’ll find that downtown Newport energy. Eclectic shops, dynamic galleries and some of the best restaurants in town make this area a MUST-STOP visit while you’re here. One of my favorite restaurants if you saw the Restaurants guide is right here called Clarke Cooke House. Souvenir shops, ice cream, ocean view, arcades for kids, live music sometimes.. innumerous things!

If you enjoy seeing the refit and repair services for motor vessels and sailing yachts, you must visit the Newport Shipyard. They provide paint, engine repair, project management.. etc not only that, it's located in the heart of Downtown Newport, walking distance to restaurants, shopping. It's a great place for visiting yacht owners, captains and crew.

If you want to step foot on the historic grass courts where legends have played, you must visit the Tennis Hall of Fame. If you're staying in our Bellevue/John St. units, you are less that 5 min walking distance to this place! There is a museum where nearly 2,000 objects are displayed from their collection of tennis artifacts.
