Gaffer's is newer to the area and was quickly a local favorite. They have wonderful food and often have bands, so check them out on Facebook if you're looking for their schedule. The outdoor seating is very popular too. It is located on Coast Guard Road just before you cross the bridge to leave the island.

Surf's Up is the restaurant with the best views. It overlooks the ocean. It is located on the Bogue Inlet Fishing Pier. It can easily accommodate larger groups as well.

This is located in the Star Hill country club, which is across the bridge. It's open to the public. The food has never disappointed. We enjoy watching the golfers.

If you have children or just want to take a day out of the sun this is a wonderful option. They have an arcade, bowling alley, restaurant, mini golf and the sky trail ropes course. It is just across the Emerald Isle bridge.

This is the sound side pier at the corner of Cedar Street and Sound Drive, just about 1/4 mile from the house. People enjoy fishing, kayaking and it's known for being one of the best places to enjoy a gorgeous sunset over the sound.
