Planning spend a day North Bay? If you enjoy hiking, you might consider visiting Duchesnay Falls. It's scenic and neither too strenuous (for adults, might be too challenging for small children) or too long.

Planning spend a day North Bay? If you enjoy hiking, you might consider visiting Duchesnay Falls. It's scenic and neither too strenuous (for adults, might be too challenging for small children) or too long.
Hosts recommendation - Pack/apply insect repellent.
This one's a bit of a trek but if you've planned a longer stay and are looking to get out for the day consider this natural landmark. A 2hr drive to Cobalt, and a 25 or 45 minute hike (two trail options) will have you taking in views of Lake Temiskaming from atop a 300' rock cliff.
Host's recommendation - Pack/Apply bug spray, watch where you step, keep an especially close eye should you choose to bring kids - there are no guard rails.

Devil's Rock
This one's a bit of a trek but if you've planned a longer stay and are looking to get out for the day consider this natural landmark. A 2hr drive to Cobalt, and a 25 or 45 minute hike (two trail options) will have you taking in views of Lake Temiskaming from atop a 300' rock cliff.

Host's recommendation - While the Wednesday market is still worth a visit, the Saturday market features a larger of vendors.
