A must see! Especially on a beautiful day! This place can be seasonal in the winter, so always check or call about the roads for snow.

A must see as well! 7mile hike to the lighthouse... or a day picnic at the beach. Check out their rules.... changed a lot since I was a kid. It's a refuge now... small fee to walk the trail to the beach.

Even though we have buffalo... make sure you visit the Olympic Game Farm... but early. The bears fill up with bread and are sleeping in the afternoon.

Coming from Seattle

If you are coming from the Seattle area and would like to take a Ferry... Edmonds/Kingston offers more frequent crossings... 35 mins.... very busy in the summer months. Downtown to Bainbridge Island is okay as well. Just plan ahead. Like any city... traffic is a problem in Seattle. You can drive to Sequim from SEA/TAC airport... travel south to Tacoma and take hwy 16. Nice drive once you leave I-5. The Tacoma Narrows bridge is amazing! You have to cross the Hood Canal Bridge which can also be a delay at times. Download the WDOT app. recommended.

Think Layers!

Pacific Northwest can be tricky... Sequim is located in the Famous Blue Hole... might not be rainy here, but we do have our grey cool days. Average temp in the summer can range from 65-90 depending on the month. It can be very windy in the Valley and no wind here on our mountain. Cloudy up here and sunny down there... and visa versa!

Know before you go! YEP! If not from around here, you will want to take a ferry for sure. However, summer months can leave you stranded in line for hours waiting for a ferry. You can drive around through Tacoma and Bremerton depending on the time a day and it will be much faster than waiting in line. The Port Townsend Ferry and I think Island Ferries are the only ones you can reserve a spot. So, plan ahead.
