Close to Penzance visit this beautiful scenic place in Marazion. Depending on the tide you walk the causeway or take a boat. Legend has it that a giant was slayed on the Mount. Look out for the heart shaped stone leading up to the castle.
It is a National Trust property and you need to pre book.

Carved out of the rocks The Minack sits above the ocean which looks so green you will think you've travelled to Greece. Take in a show or just pop along for a visit and walk the cliffs.
It is my understanding there is a charge to visit to look around down in the theatre area unless you have booked to see a show.

An interesting place to visit but wear layers. It gets hot in the tropical biome!

Travelling in height of summer
If you visit in the height of summer then you should allow for extra time for travelling between places. The roads get very busy.

Catch a train to St Ives/Falmouth/Looe
Parking can be tricky in the summer so catching the train is a good idea. If going to St Ives it stops at St Erth where you catch a small connection to St Ives which takes you on probably one of the most scenic train journeys in the country.
Alternatively take the train to Falmouth which is direct.
If going to Newquay or Looe these are all on brach lines like St Ives which will mean a change.

From Truro you can catch the boat to Falmouth which also stops at St Mawes.

The best places I have found are out on the North Coast. Favourite places of mine are at St Agnes Head, Crantock, Perranporth or Pentire Head in Newquay.

The car parks in some of the popular scenic places are owned by the National Trust. If not a member already it may be worth a subscription. Popular places such as St Michael's Mount charge £14.00 each. There are a good number of Trust properties in Cornwall.
