Sightseeing
The nature center is a 4 minute walk from our home and offers an excellent couple hours of exploring. It's an easy hike for kids and you will likely get up close with many forest creatures like deer, eagles and owls that live in this nature sanctuary. There is a tiny museum and gift shop that does tours as well.

A quaint Old Western style throwback amusement town. Lots of quirky stores, overpriced food and some events. Try to avoid weekends, as it gets a bit overcrowded.

Excellent Mexican spot down the street. Delicious, fun and great margaritas. There is no shortage of Mexican restaurants in Carmichael, but this one is the best. Don't miss the freshest guacamole you can find.
