Parks
A 3min drive or 20min walk(turn right down Greystone St next to highway) this is the start of many nice long or short walks and has a lake filled with turtles and ducks. There is also model car and aeroplane clubs, playgrounds and opening 2022 a golf course.

Minnippi Parkland

A giant open space to be by yourself! Mostly used for exercise it has a great cycle and running track.
Often they have quaint little festivals, it turns into a car park for Bridge to Brisbane (fun run) and cycling races on Saturdays. It has a playground and skate-park, half way to Cannon Hill shopping centre. Nothing inspiring unless you are in need of a big open space, such as kite flying!

To go with your fine French bread, is your fine French cheese - go to Le Fromage Yard.

One of the south sides largest shopping centres, it has everything you expect from these super centers. A great public Library, supermarkets, retail, restaurants, cinema and more. Parking is free for three hours and a great place to escape a over humid day.

Just up the road, this small centre has an IGA, some restaurants and other essential retail. Most notably have dinner at the Asian Kitchen. Across the road is the Tingalpa Hotel - great for families.

If you have someone young to entertain, they won't be disappointed to go here. Walking distance across Wynnum road, it's a giant playground for all ages, worth the $14, 2 hour entry. Book and go early as it gets hot and busy!

Its our favourite bakery in Brisbane - be quick everything goes fast. As well as weekly special pastries, they do sandwiches, sausage rolls and high end cakes. They have just taken over the cafe next door, so coffee and lunch now possible.

Driving Range with tracking balls, great for beginners to pros. With grass tees for authentic practice and a small pro shop, it's my new favourite. The only problem is the Gateway Bridge is a toll - DFO is literally across the road.

Less than 15mins over the Gateway (toll) Bridge, DFO and the Skygate precinct is becoming a destination instead of just being the pre-airport stop. Factory outlet shopping with a Woolies, Driving Range and food court.

Its crystal clear blue green waters, abundant fish and wildlife (no dingos), Tangalooma Resort and best fresh Oysters in QLD, it really is a special place. Take a day trip to snorkel or canoe the shipwreck reef, feed the dolphins or simply enjoy the golden sands. Ferry's leave from Holt Street Wharf 10mins drive from here. Book with the Tangalooma resort.
