Sightseeing

The Original Little Italy on Arthur Avenue in the Bronx which was named one of the greatest streets in the United States. It is beautiful, authentic, and very reasonably priced. Enjoy cafes, have a stroll, enjoy fresh oysters, watch Cuban cigars being hand rolled, and go in for some Italian pastries made by Italians who have owned these little shops for ages, and have a nice evening meal before heading back. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Arthur_Avenue http://www.arthuravenuebronx.com/ https://www.huffingtonpost.com/john-mariani/the-real-little-italy-and-best-restaurants-are-in-the-bronx_b_7518278.html

Very difficult to get access to, but worth it if you can get yourself permission. A hidden gem that not many (or any!) tourists get to access filled with history and pretty unique sites. To get access you must apply and hire your own boat. (You're staying next to the Marina here in our home so you can easily walk over and find someone to help you out on that front). https://www.nycgovparks.org/park-features/north-brother-island/visit
