Some might call Dino's a dive bar. I like to walk to this Sports bar, mostly so I can walk back. The food is surprisingly good. Plenty of beer options on tap. They have an outdoor area when the weather's nicer.

Nibbanya has good Thai food. Torero's is a good option for Mexican food. The Wild Fin has a great happy hour.

We have two beach parks here in Kennydale that are accessible from the rails to trails walk along the lake. One little park with a dock, play toys and swimming area. Go straight down the hill all the way to the rails to trails then turn right.
Then there's Gene Coulon park that is very large with a fabulous walk along the water front. Go down to the rails to trails but turn left instead. Walk along the path up to the point where the adjacent road become more of a driveway. Walk down to the road from the trail and follow the road to the left until it ends at the park entry.

Stunning views of the Seattle area from atop the hill at the Newcastle Golf Course. You pay for the view in the price of the food but on a gorgeous day, it's well worth it.

Nice setting near by. Good for dining in and take out. I always love tom kha soup, the phad kee mau, the red curry chicken, the swimming ramma and so many more dishes.
