Places to eat!
This is a unique place with a focus on wine! They keep their menu small and change it up periodically. I LOVE the salmon w/ shrimp fried rice (made to order). They offer wine flights for testing. It is pretty small so I recommend a reservation. It is close enough to the harbor that you can walk off your dinner.

If you want the WI "Old School Supper Club" experience this is the place. It has great views, drinks and history! If you like MCM buildings this is a great place to visit! It is featured in the popular, WI Supper Club book! I think they have live entertainment on the weekends as well. Make a reservation.

This historic train car, turned restaurant, was featured on the Food Network. They take their food more seriously than they do themselves! It's always fun and IMO the portions are shareable! They also bake their own bread so the toast is great! Solo travelers can eat at the counter!

This isn't for everyone but I personally LOVE the thrill of thrifting as you never know what you will find. This is actually the Goodwill outlet and therefore, they charge by weight. Even my husband gets into this (or just pretends for my sake)!

You can walk to the dunes from our place! Exit the driveway and go right. When you get to the slight Y in the road stay right and once you pass a dark blue house you will see cars parked. That is the "back entrance" to the dunes. I think it is fun to look for beach glass!

This is very close to our place. If you bring your own kayak you can put it in here (just use caution as some days it is just too rough)! We see people swimming from this spot. I tried but I confirmed I am very wimpy about lake temps!

I love this little town. It is about an hour away (maybe less). It has super cute little shops and places to eat and a winery. In the summer, they frequently have antique markets. This is a great place to spend an afternoon or to show love to the shopper in you are with!

We enjoy the downtown area of Kenosha near the harbor. There are planned events throughout the summer and many shops and restaurants. If you are looking for more typical restaurants and stores just head west on highway 50 towards 94.
