The trail runs right through downtown Marlinton, where many trekkers can outfit or seek a respite. It is one of the premier riding trails in the eastern US, and provides an unforgettable biking or hiking experience.

The Highland Scenic Highway extends 43 miles from Richwood to US Route 219 just north of Marlinton. The drive offers beautiful views along it's entire length, including four scenic overlooks, and access to numerous trail heads as it traverses some of the highest terrain found in the Allegheny Highlands and Plateau.

The drive offers beautiful views along it's entire length, including four scenic overlooks, and access to numerous trail heads as it traverses some of the highest terrain found in the Allegheny Highlands and Plateau.
One of the premier ski resorts in the Mid-Atlantic, Snowshoe has become an all season destination offering a variety of activities any time of year. Located high atop Cheat Mountain, the resort area includes the Snowshoe Mountain and Silver Creek areas, offering a total of 60 slopes and trails plus many acres of backcountry. During warmer months, the area presents many opportunities for outdoor recreation, and has become a haven for mountain bikers, hosting several major competitive events each year.

There is a small museum on the site that is open in the summer most weekends, and two overlooks, one which features a timber observation tower providing commanding views of the Greenbrier valley.

Now located on 2nd Avenue, serving some great coffee, pastries, and much more. A favorite stop of ours anytime we have to ride into town. Bike rentals and repair upstairs.
