Sightseeing
Josselin is a 4 flower awarded beautiful medieval town with a majestic castle on the banks of the Nantes/ Brest canal. It is a short 20 minute drive from the farmhouse and has numerous cafes/ bars and several small shops . There is also a castle museum and a regular Saturday market. During the summer months a canal trip can be taken on the canal and horse and carriage rides are available. Medieval tournaments take place and visits around the castle and the doll museum are a must.

Beautiful large lake 25 mins drive from the farmhouse with all water activities including fishing/ canoeing/ water skiing. Easy accessible walks around the lake and a cafe bar for refreshments after.

A beautiful town for a day out- 1 hour drive from our property there is a small port with scenic bars and cafes overlooking including a Michelin started restaurant. A great day out.

Home of Yves Rocher this beautiful village is renowned for its artisans and small craft shops. Visits to the Yves Rocher discount shop and museum are highly recommended along with the bio gardens to see how the plants for the cosmetics are grown. A photographic exhibition is held here every year.

It has a tourist train that runs between the port and the Old town and with it's bustling streets and pretty port is a regular spot for a day out for guests.

A particular favourite of the owners of The Old famhouse, this large bar/ restaurant in the centre of Josselin is great for a lunchtime meal of pizzas/ burgers or for an evening out. The larger upstairs room is lovely for a family gathering.
