The nature preserve is located at the southern corner of Chilliwack Lake. It is not easy to find, please consult hiking and trail sites to get good directions. There is a nice beach at this end of the lake as well. Sadly this beach can only be accessed via boat, or a 2-3 km walk from a gated bridge. The gated bridge is at end of the road that goes along the north side of Lake Chilliwack. The road requires a high clearance vehicle and depending on its current condition, you may need 4x4.

The only transportation to the area is by car or by bike.
A taxi may or may not be willing to take you there. Once you are there, there is no cell service so you can not call a friend or a taxi to come pick you up. This is the wilderness.

Please don't walk on or through private property. Their are only a few homes up their, they are easy to avoid.

In the mountains, the weather changes in rapidly.
If you are going hiking, make sure you have the proper gear. The weather can change in a matter of minutes. It can be warm and sunny at the bottom of valley by the lake, while cold and snowing at the top of the ridges or halfway up a mountain.
