Sightseeing
Mill Bay Centre is a collection of shops ranging from pet store to clothing to dollar store to hair salon to library. The main stores are Thrifty Foods and Pharmasave. You can pretty well get whatever you need. The smaller stores are all owned by local people with nice well thought out things to buy.

Public beach on the lake on the north side. Provincial park worth visiting on the west side of the lake. Great for kids. Worth taking a picnic and stopping on your way to Kinsol Trestle.

The Kinsol Trestle is one of eight trestles along the Cowichan Valley Trail route and by far the largest and most spectacular. The Kinsol Trestle is one of the tallest free-standing and most spectacular timber rail trestle structures in the world. At 187 metres in length and standing 44 metres above the salmon bearing Koksilah River, the Kinsol is an incredible structure.
