This is a great sandy beach with interesting cliff top and beach walks . There is inexpensive parking and public toilets. This is sand castle central.

This is where the yacht clubs is but it also has a couple of good pubs a little shop and it's an easy walk over to Rockcliffe via the old Iron Age fort. A great place for bird watching and boats.

This is such a beautiful space curated and nurtured by Sheila Cameron a prolific horticulturist. Take a picnic and a book and dissolve in this serene spot. Only 5 mins from my front not to be missed.

Swans lots of them, this place seems expensive but you get a lot and it kind of makes a full day out with its own cafe on site, be sure to try and make the feeding.

This place is free of charge and represents a really intact tower house. the views from the roof are spectacular and its never busy.

If you walk up the beach towards Arbrigland house there are numerous fossils. Be sure to check tide times. there is parking near steamboat inn and public toilets too. The fossils are easily found.
