ANZAC Bay

This bay is under 10 minutes to walk to from our Bach, it’s very popular for jet skiing, swimming, jumping off the jetty and has two scenic walks from this location. One walk goes through a bush over to Shelly Bay and you can keep going up the hill from there. The other walk takes you to Cave Bay or you can go right to top of that hill. The bay has a real fruit ice cream truck that is stationed there all through January.
There are two shaded spots on either side of the bay if you get there early enough in the summer months. Take snorkeling gear or kayak as this is a beautiful spot.

Surf Beach

Turn left out of driveway and just down the Rd you will see a beach access, must wear jandels or shoes as sand dunes can get very hot. five minute walk to the surf beach, the beach constantly changes from no waves to waves, it is a great walk at low tide, can walk 10k. It has driftwood wash up and the kids will use their imagination to create all kinds of things. You can get Tuatua’s at low tide but always check sites to ensure you can eat the shellfish as sometimes you can’t.

Neighbourhoods

We are in a quiet cul de sac, amazing for kids. At end of round about there is a walk way through to a cricket pitch and BMX track. We all park our cars in the middle of the round about. The kids rule the road with scooters and bikes so everyone drives slowly. Every New Years there’s a St water balloon fight amongst neighbours.

Shelly Bay

A beautiful bay that you can only get to by walking 10 minutes from Anzac Bay or by boat. Best time to visit is at high tide. When you are in the Anzac Bay car park looking out to sea, the walkway is on your right going up the hill, if you stay on the track going right round the mountain the views are gorgeous.

Cave Bay

At the top of the look out car park over looking Anzac Bay, to the left as you drive in, there are some steps going down to Cave Bay. Steep steps then a short climb over rocks at the bottom. Best at low tide, can go into caves, swim and surf cast as sand drops away into deep ocean.
