Charming and very rural country pub offering good beer and great food. Why not walk along the coastal path to Ayrmer Cove and then up the track across the fields to Ringmore. About a 45 minute walk but be sure to book!

The Pickwick Inn is a friendly and well priced pub/restaurant. Th menu is pretty extensive but pizza is a speciality. Just 5 minute drive from Bigbury on Sea. Child friendly.

We discovered the Schoolhouse in Smmer 2017. It is newly opened and run by the owners of Beach House, South Milton and offers a similar casual/relaxed style but casual with high quality food. Very nice although not cheap! From the restaurant you are just a very short walk from Mothecombe Beach.
Mothecombe beach is one of the quieter beaches in South Devon. Large and unspoilt and at low tide Mothecombe comes into its own with fine sand and plenty of opportunity for shallow, sheltered bathing.

Clifftop restaurant with the most incredible views and food to match! Bit of a long, windy drive down Devon lanes but worth it.

Great for a selection of lovely farm shop produce, local meats and groceries. Its not cheap but it's lovely food! There is a cafe there too which has a good selection of fresh and locally made food. Make a morning of it in the summer - "pick your own" fruit farm is fun!

The Dolphin is about a 15-20 min drive from Bigbury. It a 17th century inn offering a drink (!) and selection of bar meals/sandwiches and good quality pub food.
