Whether you need the Metro, Train (AmTrak and Marc), bus, taxi, rental car, sightseeing bus, bikes, it's all here at Union Station. There are also several restaurants and shops on the 1st and 2nd levels while the food court is located on the lower level.

The DC Metro (Subway) is the fastest way to get around.
The apartment is in the perfect location to walk everywhere on a beautiful day. As mentioned the Capitol is just blocks away and the National Mall is also walking distance....leave the apartment with a nice pair of walking shoes on and you can be at the White House in about a 30min walk.
