Crown Wharf, our flagship Brewery Tap stands in the shadow of the original Joule's Brewery on Crown Street, Stone. Part of the Crown Wharf site sits on the original Breweries Dirties Yard and the canal-side location was owned by the Brewery back in the 70s but never developed. Ever since completing the fourth Joule's Brewery in Market Drayton back in 2010 Joule's has been looking for the perfect site to home their Stone Taphouse. None came close to what they were looking for so they decided to build their own, their very first new-build Tap.

Cannock Chase, often referred to locally as "the Chase" has been designated as an area of outstanding natural beauty. It comprises, coniferous plantation, open heathland and the remains of the early coal mining industry.
The Chase provides a remarkable range of landscape & wildlife, including a herd of 800 fallow deer and several rare and endangered birds.
This is the perfect place to go walking, running or mountain biking with trails and a cycle centre.
There are other things to do such as a children's play area, go ape facility and a café serving a range of food and drinks.

Just 5 minutes by car the Downs Banks is a great place to enjoy a walk or just to relax and enjoy the outdoors. A rock pillar stands at the highest point showing the local landmarks that can be seen on a clear day including The Long Mynd, Mow Cop Castle, the Wrekin, and the Clee Hills are just some of the landmarks to look out for.
Downs Banks is a great place to spot wildlife – there is a beautiful babbling stream that runs the length of the Downs which attracts beautiful wildlife throughout the year. Keep your eyes peeled and you may see the fantastic blue flash of a kingfisher.

The impressively rugged and steep gritstone ridge is home to mythical mermaids and 15 metre natural gritstone clefts, so this is far more than your average countryside walk.
It groups together two main gritstone outcrops, 'Ramshaw Rocks' famous for the 'Winking Man' rock formation and 'Hen Cloud' offering stunning panoramic views.
