My go to spot for late-night eats, The Denver Diner has been apparently in operation forever. Chrome outside, neon outside, cleaned and well maintained. A proper Diner for your Diner Needs. Locally owned and operated.

Nuggs is the best ice-cream on Colfax. A short walk, they make their icecream in house. It's lovely and quaint and flavorfull.

Syrup is a local Denver chain, and possibly one of the best Breakfasts in the city. Their are known for the seasonally changing flavored syrups, as well as excellent variations on the traditional Eggs Benedict.

My favorite Denver Ethiopian Restaurant, and right around the corner from my house. If you've never eatin Ethiopian, it's pretty good. Thick stews that you eat with the bread.. The best bit is the end, when all the flavors soak into the Injera. They have vegan and meat-based options: I generally just get the Veggie Combo or Meat Combo, as it provides a lovely sampling of several Ethiopian staples.

This is a local, small, all-you-can-eat Vegan buffet. It's super healthy, and about a 20 minute walk from the house here. They have a rotating menu, that is approximately seasonal, all made in-house. It's a very relaxed and welcoming place to chill and eat a long vegany lunch.

Wonderbound is a local Denver Modern / Ballet group. During rehearsals, their space is open to the public, so you can stop by and watch if you want to see how dance is made. If you get a chance to check out one of their shows, they are amazing. Best date night in the city is when they host shows at their rehersal space.

If you're in town for longish, and want to try Yoga or Barre classes, there's an Endorphin location a mile from my location. Endorphin offers all manner of fitness classes, the Park Hill location being the closest to my place.

About a half-hour walk from the house, the Denver Museum of Nature & Science is just that.. A solid museum, with engaging rotating exhibits. The back patio has a great view of the city skyline, with the mountains in the background.

Want to see some great animals? Denver Zoo is for you. It's a smallish zoo, compared to the Epic Huge Zoos elsewhere in the world, but it's a great size for a family to easily get through in a half day. Well maintained, helpful guides, a first-class zoo.

Check their website for hours: They are closed Monday and Tuesday, but well worth the visit if you're keen on the history and significance of dolls, toys, and miniatures.
