Food scene
This place was a sensory overload, in a good way. I was so excited to see that Anchorage had a place that was out of the ordinary and upbeat. I have tried many things on their menu, and it was all full of flavor. I like how the food is interactive and innovative (you personally squeezing the mango puree into your pastry). The staff was very friendly. They have only been open for a few months, and the lines are out of the door.

This is an Alaskan owned, family based, health consciencous bakery. They use only quality ingredients and put time and energy in their products. They have a range of things to try, baked breads, a variety of muffins, cupcakes, soups, sandwiches, etc. I have eaten there many times and I have enjoyed their friendliness and that you can see them working making their delicious products you are eating. The web sight shows you pictures but I have tasted a lot of their products, they taste good too.

Fire Island Rustic Bakeshop
718 K StThis is an Alaskan owned, family based, health consciencous bakery. They use only quality ingredients and put time and energy in their products. They have a range of things to try, baked breads, a variety of muffins, cupcakes, soups, sandwiches, etc. I have eaten there many times and I have enjoyed their friendliness and that you can see them working making their delicious products you are eating. The web sight shows you pictures but I have tasted a lot of their products, they taste good too.
Now this is really good Korean restaurant. I love the little dishes that come with your main meal they are all delicious. The wait staff are not as polite as customer friendly as you would hope, but the food is what brings us back again and again. I would like to venture out and try other dishes on the menu.

Okay, this place is a little restaurant and it recently opened this year. I spotted it as I was passing by one day, I finally went in and tried it and I was pleasantly surprised. Again, they are unique in
Alaska, the menu is small but the hot pot individual soups you can order were just amazing. I am all about the flavor and the two different types of soups that I have tried delivered. Each time I took leftovers home, I looked forward to them the next day and they were just as tasty.

The coffee shop that I frequent the most is on Muldoon/Tudor curve. Kaladi Brothers coffee is sold in multiple locations, but this coffee shop has an amazing view of the mountains, you will be mesmerized by the magnificent beauty of the Alaska mountain range (unobstructed). This restaurant is fairly new to the Anchorage scene. I have been multiple times and have tired many things on the menu. I have enjoyed them all, my husband and I love the Kaladi Brother's coffee milkshake and sometimes we go just for that.

This is a build your burger joint. The first time trying this restaurant it was really good and you built you massive burger your way. I liked how they seasoned their patties and each burger is made to order. They also have a variety of pies, which I have not tried because I am alway full from the yummy burger and fries and refillable drinks.

This Mexican restaurant has variety of dishes on the menu. I like how they have a self serve condiment and flavor bar where you can tweak it the way you want it.

Call ahead to find out when they have tours of how the candies and chocolates are made. They have something for everyone including seasonal specialties that will keep you and the locals coming back for more.

There are places in Girdwood that have really good food and nice gift shops. A must see for visitors even the local love the drive and the tranquility of where the resort is nestled in.
