Supreme Court Gardens are just across the road as is the Esplanade foreshore on the Swan River. Located in Perth CBD and is the Condé Nast Best Hotel in Australia

One of the better original ‘pubs’ in Perth where you can get a good pub lunch for a fair price in a historic setting. And around the corner in Napoleon Street, is a hip yet local hangout; several quality eateries are located in this very good example of a well preserved community street; the Albion Hotel is definitely a pub full of history.

Western Australia is well-known for its brilliant wines, notably in the Margaret River region a couple of hundred miles south of Perth.
But you don't have to head that far for a vineyard experience as Mandoon Estate is minuets from the CBD and is Australia's most-awarded boutique winery. It's been in operation in some form since 1840. Eating options include contemporary fine dining at Wild Swan, matched with their own wines or beers from the on-site brewery. Only 25 minutes drive from home.

Caversham Wildlife Park is a wildlife park located 26 minutes drive from my home. It is home to more than 200 types of Australian animals including kangaroos, koalas, possums, wallabies, wombats and Tasmanian devils. The family-run park is very popular with guests from overseas, especially those who want to cuddle a koala bear :)

Many of our guests transit through Perth Airport so I thought I would make a few notes to assist your transit. First point to remember is that there are two ‘Perth Airports’ sharing the same runways; one is the ‘Domestic’ airport and the other is the ‘International’ airport. If you’re renting a car you need to be aware of this particularly on your return. Make sure you know which terminal number your flight leaves from. For those wishing to save money, the Transperth #380 Bus provides regular service from the airport to and from Elizabeth Quay Station in Perth CBD. First #380 bus from the airport to Elizabeth Quay is 05.10am and the last bus from the airport is 01.10am but please call 136 213 to be sure. The first #380 bus to the airport from Elizabeth Quay is 04.25am and last bus is 11.25pm. The bus journey (either direction) is 30 to 40 minutes depending on time of day. Cost by bus to my home from Perth International Airport is $5.22.
Taxi fare from the airport to CBD is around $50. Uber and Ola fares to the city are around $30 depending on distance of course.
