Annual Event
The Highland Games, held on The Links, Nairn’s biggest event and usually held on the 3rd Saturday in August. The piping starts and 9.30am and the Highland dancing and athletics take place in the afternoon. Don’t miss the spectacular Massed Pipes and Drums marching through the town around midday.
The heavy events, such as tossing the caber, are the most popular part of any games, and Nairn is no exception. The competitors will be going all out to with the Cuach na Cuiridh, the Cup of the Strong Man, which is presented to the overall winner of the heavy events.
