Azaleas and Rhododendrons planted amongst native bushland. Picturesque all year round especially in April with the Autumn colours and late Sept to mid Nov when the Rhodos and Azaleas are blooming.

Tarana is a small Central West town, a 45 minute drive from Blackheath. The local quarry produced the Tarana pink granite that was used to clad the exterior of the Sydney Opera House. It has a popular pub with a large outdoor eating area covered with wisteria vines. It also has a monthly farmers’ market with live music. The Tarana railway station is heritage listed and features an early 20th century cast iron water tank.
