About the Area
Restaurants, curio shops and the "Back Entrance" to Great Smoky Mountain National Park located here. Route 321 runs through Wears Valley. It is about the same distance from the cabin as Pigeon Forge. It's a good option if you want to avoid traffic.

The cabin is actually in Sevier County, and not the town of Sevierville. Sevierville is on the parkway north of Pigeon Forge. Unless you want to make a pilgrimage to see the Dolly statue in the town square, you probably won't have much reason to visit.

Coming from the Alcoa/Airport area, you'll pass through Townsend on the way to the cabin. Here you can find groceries, River Rat River Tubing, Jeep Adventures and way to the Cades Cove Loop Drive.

Liquor, Beer, and Wine
Sevier County is technically "dry" though the regulations vary by town. You'll find liquor stores only in Gatlinburg, but they close on Sunday. You can buy mixed drinks at bars and restaurants in Gatlinburg. In Pigeon Forge you can purchase beer and wine 6 days a week (I think) in stores. Restaurants serve only beer and wine in Pigeon Forge.
