Walk or cycle along a former railway bordering the Camel Estuary and River, from Padstow to Wadebridge and (eventually) Bodmin. Cycle hire at Padstow (can be busy and hard to park in high season) or Wadebridge.

The Cawsand Ferry

15-20 minutes walk from the house. An eight minute foot-ferry crossing takes you across the Tamar to Cremyll, with lovely walks in the park and the southwest Coastal Path. Catch the bus at Cremyll out to Whitesand Bay, and walk back.
