Beautiful pub and restaurant just outside the village. Beautiful gardens with a selection of interesting birds wandering about and a riverside walk. Lots of room for children to play outside. On colder days, ample room inside for gastro-pub style food and drinks.

Shipley Bridge provides free parking for a wonderful riverside walk along a tarmac path. It's unusual to be able to explore Dartmoor along such an easily accessible path. Keep going the full two miles and you will eventually arrive at Avon Dam.

You can walk to Lydia Bridge from Littlefield. Walk out of our gate and turn right at Moorland House to go down a lane (past a caravan on your left) rather than left to go back into the village.Keep walking until you get to a stile to climb over, along a public footpath to another stile, then alongside a stream. At the end of the stream, walk down a small hill to a road. Turn right & walk along the road down a hill which curves to your left. At the bottom you will see Lydia Bridge and the River Avon rushing under the bridge. Here you can climb over a stone and down some steps to follow the river through a woodland walk (with the river on your right). Keep going to come back into the village

Totnes is a fantastic small town known for it's Friday market as well as often alternative take on life. Fabulous independent shops, antiques, arts and crafts and lots of restaurants. Particularly good choice for vegetarians but plenty to be found for meat eaters too.
