My favourite restaurants

These restaurants i would really recommend! Mainly because of their low price while stil having good quality food. Food delivery is also common, go to Thuisbezorgd.nl and order if you wish. I only know 1 relatively Fancy place wich i added to this list.

They have a 3 course meal for 15.95 euro.(drinks not included) Need I say more? Well i guess I should. The 3 course meal is actually good, when you order steak you don't get a tiny little blob but a good amount despite the price.

Around the Corner.

Stuff that's right around the corner, if you don't feel like cooking but also don't want to go out.
The convenience store at the end of my street, about 50 meters away. It's more expensive then the supermarket but also 450 meters closer. It's open until 24:00.

Chinese takeaway. It's at the end of the street, about 200 meters away. You can only take out food, large portions. My favourite is Kou Lu Yuk is a recommended dish if you ask me. (it's fried chicken meat with dough around it in sweet and sour sauce)

You can get some sandwiches and drinks for almost supermarket prices (wich are very low in the Netherlands relatively) It opens at 08:00 and closes at 22:00 (Sunday 09:00 until 20:00)

A small playground with some trees 50 meters away, it says park but you can't really call it that. it's on the same street as my house so easy to supervise children playing there (not from inside the house though you won't be able to see them)

Snackbar with interior decorated in an american 60s style. (I think?) My preferred snackbar around 450 meters away. Can either take out or eat inside. There is another snackbar only 230 meters away but personally i prefer this one. They have more choice.

Ice cream shop. 300 meters away. Cool off on your hot days. I usually just buy icecream in the supermarket so only been here once. Good icecream =)

IKEA, about 10 minutes walk 900 meters. You can eat here for a good price. Or come here for the hotdogs, they cost 50 cents. Icecream is 50 cents. Coffe/Tea free if you have a family card. I like IKEA... Ofcourse they sell furniture too but who cares?

Recreation

Stuff to do when you're here in/nearby Delft. Just google "What to do in Delft" to get a comprehensive list. i'm just adding stuff thats not on there to this list.
A big lake inside a park, it has areas with sand beaches. Please look at the signs if it's safe to swim. Some years there are "Blauw alg" these are poisonous and can make you sick. If no warning sign it's safe to swim. Also grass fields, bring a towel or picknick sheet and enjoy the sun. You can also rent a rowboat or bikeboat and enjoy floating around.
