Today, it's a non-profit educational and world-class research center known for their massive radio telescopes. The 30-building campus dotted with all sizes of telescopes is well-protected from man-made light pollution and radio interference.

Looking Glass Rock, one of the largest monoliths in North America offers stages from 2 to 8 and up to 600 feet.

These falls are within hiking distance of our AirBnB. When reaching falls, trail leads on to view the third falls which is beautiful.
Three magnificent Waterfalls easily accessible off of Parkway Road (Hwy #215). These are only about 1/2 mile from our location. The French Broad/Mills Shoals Waterfalls join while the Bird Rock Falls is .3 mile on a hiking trail downstream.
