Travel East Franklin, NC off Hwy. 441 to Hwy. 64 to Highlands is a beautiful scenic drive. Be sure to hug your side of the road as you go around a number of tight curves. It's well worth the drive up to the Highlands with many pull off location stops for viewing the waterfalls and splashing your feet in the water. Dry Falls is one of the most popular stops with easy steps with rails leading down behind the falls. Many photo ops on this drive. Once you drive into the Highlands you will find a variety of shops and restaurants. A great day trip!
