Also known as the "Nature Trail". A few blocks from your house is a great little flat walking/jogging/dog walking trail that was once railroad tracks. Head out your door and hang a right on Buena Vista, walk to Railroad Ave and turn right. Walk a few more blocks to Egan, take a small left for a block - look for the brown sign at the end of the large parking area between Oregon Trail Electric and the storage units. The trail goes for about 2 miles. It's safe and friendly.

You can drive to the top at just under 10,000 feet in the summer months! The glacier gorges are truly breathtaking - and can be viewed from your car. Gas up, grab some snacks, lunch, water, good shoes and binoculars, and enjoy the sites and wildlife.

On Broadway, the main drag through Burns, there are several little shops that sell great gifts, books, kitchen gadgets, boutique clothing, and more. It's really fun to go visit these local shops and just look around. Several are closed on Sundays, just like old times, so plan accordingly.
