Goes without saying if you’re travelling to Copenhagen, with or without kids, Tivoli is always a good idea.
During the spring, summer and fall, every Friday there are concerts at the main green area in Tivoli, free of charge once you’ve paid your entry.

One of my favourite places. It takes about an hour from Copenhagen Central (Copenhagen H) with the train and app 1 km walk to the museum. They are excellent curators, there is always something amazing to see, as well as their permanent collections, the impressive gift shop and the cafe. The gardens and the beach are also accessible and I would recommend setting aside at least half a day for this activity, if not more. Check out their website for evening talks, concerts or poetry readings and extend your day to include dinner and a cultural event. You won’t regret it.

Beautiful building and house of one of the more traditional art, particularly sculptures. The cafe and the shop are very nice and the roof top offers a glorious view of Central Copenhagen.

Wonderful playground and park area in the middle of vibrant Vesterbro, where you can spend a whole day with the kids. It has a big playground area with a kiddy pool during the summer. There are bathrooms and a kiosk where you can buy coffee, ice cream and light snacks.

Brand new playground, ball park and kiddy pool and fountain area in Frederiksberg, five minutes from our house. We go here after school on warm summer days to cool down and hang with our friends. Clean bathrooms below ground. Access to nice food just across the street, either pizza or Ramen.

They’ve really done wonders with this area. Lengthy stretch of sea front booming with ice cream shops, plenty of space and paved trail along the coast line for roller blading, skate boarding and long walks. Great for a day trip in the summer sun
