Cafe on the 'Knuckle' by the water at the back of the house. Great coffee, sandwiches, beer and wine. Perfect when it isn't raining!

A floating pub close to the house. It sells Bristol Beer Factory beers which are very very good. Especially 'Notorious' a great I.P.A. Also sells good food and has some of the best harbour views.
You can sit on deck in good weather.

'Arts Cinema' with a good bar overlooking St Augustines Reach in the harbour. Worth checking out what they are showing, or just go for a drink. Nice outside balcony overlooking the water.

Decent pub up the hill in Cliftonwood. Next to a childrens playground. Parents tend to sit in the little beer garden while their kids run riot in the adjacent play area. A slog up the hill, so walk round Clifton at the same time!

A bit rough around the edges, but I love this place. Hasn't changed in many years, and will soon be converted into student flats! Great pizzas, and very good value.
It has an outdoor covered seating area overlooking Park Street, which is packed with bars and nightlife.

Lively bar/restaurant with lots going on there. Well worth a visit. As are quite a few places in Stokes Croft.

Expensive fish and chips, but the Avon Gorge Hotel has a magnificent terrace overlooking the Gorge, close to the suspension bridge.
At least have a drink there on a sunny day.

Well worth a visit, even to have some food or a drink. It has just been sympathetically refurbished, and is one of the country's oldest theatres. It's refurbishment has won awards. See a show, even better!

Observatory with camera obscura and stairs down to a cave in the gorge, with observation platform (just a grill you stand on looking down a long way!) Scary but sort of fun. It also now has a cafe.

Stand Up Paddleboarding is now a big thing on Bristol Harbour. This company is based very locally near the Cottage Inn pub. Five minute walk through Underfall Yard.
