This place has GREAT cocktails and GREAT meat. All the other food is really good too, but the meats are of course what they do. You can get a 60 or 90 day dry aged steak, sometimes vennison steaks are available as well. Charceutere and cheese plates are a standard.

Parks & Nature
You can walk, bike, or run (and if you go all the way to DC and are tired, take the redline back home). The paved trail/road mix is closed to cars on weekends. It takes a little bit of navigating but is easy enough and worth it. You'll bike right by the zoo, the kennedy center, georgetown's canal and city, and then finish at the Lincoln memorial.
If you like to trail run there is an entire network of trails to jog that run parallel to 16th street, with the river on your right. When you are done, you pop up to 16th street and have a nice paved run home, though it is hilly.
