This is a new restaurant that just opened early in 2017. If you like mexican food you need to give it a try. Prices are very reasonable and servings are large! We always have leftovers to bring home. Shawn highly recommends their seafood soup. They are open for breakfast, lunch and dinner.

The Applebee's at the Gardens on Havana has only been open for about a year. We love to eat at the bar, interact with the bartenders and watch games on the big screen TV's. They have some healthy options on the menu that we like including the Steak and Grains with mushrooms.

North Italia is a great Italian restaurant in the Cherry Creek neighborhood. They have a nice bar with great cocktails. Their Squid Ink Malfaldine is delicious and they have a big wine menu.

Kona Grill is a Japanese/Hawaiian inspired restaurant and we have never had a bad meal there. Their menu includes a good variety of offereings and they have a great bar too. Jennifer likes the Miso Sake Sea Bass and the Chili Glazed Salmon.

Sightseeing
This is an hour and a half away by car but well worth the trip. Views along the way and at the top are absolutely stunning on a clear day. It is not open at all times during the year, so you can check availability on their web site. The train trip to the top of Pikes Peak takes about an hour fifteen minutes each way and you get to spend a half hour at the top. There is a gift shop for souvenirs and a cafe to grab a bite. Please either bring water with you or purchase some at the shop in the depot. Due to the high altitude you may feel nauseated or lightheaded if you are not hydrated.

Events and concerts are held at Red Rocks starting with the sunrise easter service each year. It hosts a variety of different bands, but the views from Red Rocks are truly beautiful. Definitely a must see!

This park is abot a fifteen minute walk from the house and features some nice walking trails. If you are an early riser you may see some wildlife there.

Utah Park is less than 10 minutes walking from the house located right off Jewell Avenue and Peoria. It is a fairly large park with baseball fields, a small pond and a nice walking path. We love to take the dogs there for walks.
